Handheld 3D scanners help 3D printing wax museum

2019-06-01

China's first 3D printing star wax museum opened in Wuxi National Digital Film Industrial Park in Jiangsu. The entire 3D printing wax museum covers an area of 3,000 square meters and is divided into six major theme exhibition areas, including movie stars, music stars, sports stars, political stars, world celebrities and anime themes. At present, there are more than 60 political celebrities and screen idols. Proportion 3D wax image is stationed.

In the past, before the traditional character wax figure was produced, it was necessary to perform precise work on the real person for several hours. In the whole process, the object to be copied needs to maintain the same posture, thus greatly restricting the difficult posture.

The 3D printing wax image is completely different. The staff only needs a hand-held 3D scanner to scan the 3D data, and the obtained 3D data is processed. The imported 3D printing device is made of polymer powder and finally attached to the surface. A layer of wax that ensures the high precision of the wax image and makes the surface look more realistic.
