3D scanning technology

Three-dimensional scanning is to measure the three-dimensional coordinate data of the surface of a tangible object, and each data (point) has a corresponding X, Y, Z coordinate value or corresponding color data (R, G, B), these data (point) collection The point cloud formed by it can form a global feature of the entire surface of the object.

3D scanning development
Point by point measurement

The representative system includes: a three-coordinate measuring instrument, a point laser measuring instrument and an articulated arm scanner. The surface characteristics of the object are reflected by each measuring point. The advantage is high precision, but the speed is slow. If reverse engineering is to be performed, only Measuring geometry has advantages over regular objects.

More suitable for workpiece error detection.

Line by line measurement
Representative systems are: desktop 3D laser scanner, 3D single raster scanner and articulated arm + laser scanning head. Through a section (usually a few centimeters, note: the laser line is too long to diverge) an effective laser line (single grating) illuminates the surface of the object, and then the surface data information of the object is obtained through the sensor.
It is more suitable for scanning small and medium-sized objects. The scanning depth of field is small (usually only 5 cm) with low precision.

Stereoscopic scanning
Representative system: 3D scanner (photographing, raster scanner), 3D photogrammetry system, etc. Through the displacement of multiple sets of gratings, the data information of the surface of the object is collected through the sensor.
It is more suitable for scanning large, medium and small objects with high precision and fast scanning speed (Hualang 3D scanner has a single area of 400×300×500mm, time ≤5 seconds). The measured depth of field is very large, generally 300-500mm.

Continuous stereo scanning
Representative system: Handheld 3D scanners, etc. Through the displacement of multiple sets of gratings (points), the three-dimensional data information of the surface of the object is collected through the sensor at the same time, and the object is scanned in all directions without stopping without scanning.
It is suitable for scanning large, medium and small objects with high precision and extremely fast scanning speed of single surface time ≤0.025 seconds.
